Siden de er plassert bakerst i hver kjeve, er det ikke alltid de har god nok plass til \u00e5 komme helt ut. Visdomstenner som p\u00e5 denne m\u00e5ten er delvis dekket med tannkj\u00f8tt, kan v\u00e6re vanskelige \u00e5 holde rene (fig. I)<\/p>\n

Plakk og matrester kan da legge seg inn under tannkj\u00f8ttet og resultere i plagsomme betennelser rundt tannen (fig. II). Typiske tegn p\u00e5 slike betennelser er smerter, hevelse i tannkj\u00f8ttet rundt den delvis frembrutte tannen og gapevansker. Det kan ogs\u00e5 forekomme vond lukt eller smak fra omr\u00e5det p\u00e5 grunn av bakterieinfeksjonen.<\/p>\n

Om man har slike plager relatert til en visdomstann, kan tannlegen skylle bort bakteriene og p\u00e5 denne m\u00e5ten l\u00f8se problemet midlertidig (fig. III-IV). Tidvis er det i tillegg n\u00f8dvendig med antibiotika for \u00e5 roe ned infeksjonen. Visdomstenner som er disponert for denne typen problemer, b\u00f8r fjernes.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”19465,19464,19457,19714″ onclick=””][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Et annet vanlige problem med visdomstenner er karies (hull i tennene). Vansker med renhold kan over tid gj\u00f8re at det utvikles hull i selve visdomstannen (fig. V), eller i tannen foran (fig. VI).<\/p>\n

En visdomstann med hull kan ofte repareres med en fylling, men i mange tilfeller kan det v\u00e6re fornuftig \u00e5 f\u00e5 den fjernet.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”19720″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”19720″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”Fjerning av en visdomstann” font_container=”tag:h3|font_size:25px|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]En visdomstann som er helt frembrutt, kan ofte fjernes med vanlig tanntrekking. Dersom r\u00f8ttene er kompliserte eller tannen ikke er brutt helt frem, kan det v\u00e6re n\u00f8dvendig med en operasjon for \u00e5 f\u00e5 den ut.
